Tuyyo—Send a little love.

Sending money to friends and family just got faster, more convenient, and a lot more personal. A new service called Tuyyo, launched by BBVA, will upend the $73 billion annual market for remittances to Latin America and the Caribbean from the United States.

Along with the money, Tuyyo enables senders to include a personal message with the notification of the remittance, so they can ensure their friend or family member sees the love as well as the money coming in. This unique feature was inspired by our research—remittances are not only sent for financial support, but also as an expression of love. We used this key finding to position the Tuyyo brand as a means of staying connected to—as the tagline states—Send a little love.
